Jyotish Foundations Online Course
This course is for anyone who wishes to understand the key themes in their own chart or that of family and friends. It would also be an important first step if you would like to work with people as an astrologer.
In addition it is a useful adjunct for anyone working with people in a helping or guiding capacity, such as Yoga, Ayurveda and Psychotherapy for example
This course will deepen your understanding of the meaning and symbolism of:
- Grahas (planets)
- Rāśi ( constellations)
- Bhāva ( houses)
- Nakṣatra ( lunar asterisms)
so that you will be able to make meaningful statements about the character and direction of a persons life.
We will cover subjects such as:
- History and origins of Jyotish
- Basic astronomy of the horoscope
- How the four puruṣārtha link to the horoscope
- Theory of karma and how to assess the karma in a horoscope
- The philosophical foundations of Jyotish
- Basic proformas for interpretation of a birth chart.
The class will take the form of presentations, practical example charts, and the opportunity for questions and answers. Hand outs will be provided and each class will be recorded.
The course will run online on Thursdays 4- 6pm in two terms of ten weeks:
Term 1 25th September - 27th November 2025
Term 2 15th January – 19th March 2026
Cost for the course is £600 which you can pay termly, monthly or some other pay plan combination.
Places limited to 10 people. £50 deposit to secure a place.
